JJ Gilmour returns to Airdrie Town Hall for his annual festive show – ‘Jinky Bells’
Scottish singer songwriter JJ ‘Jinky’ Gilmour first tasted success as the joint front man with Scottish band The Silencers. The band toured extensively enjoying great success across Europe.
After leaving the band, JJ secured himself a solo deal with the help of golfing star Ian Woosnam and is now firmly established as a solo artist with 5 studio albums under his belt and now his 25 years work as solo artist celebrated with the release of his compilation album “The Evolution of JJ Gilmour“, JJ has also enjoyed success with his hit musical Dancing Shoes, based on the life of footballer George Best.
2026 sees JJ heading to America to record his 6th solo album with hit songwriter/producer Chas Sandford (Stevie Nicks, John Waite, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson) at his world class secret sound studio in Nashville.
Music aside, JJ is an outspoken advocate for mental health.
Expect the usual set of songs and stories from his Silencers Days, his long solo career and a sprinkling of festive songs.
