At Summerlee Photomedia Studio, you can take part in classes, workshops and creative projects covering photography, moving image, and animation. Whether you’re keen to build technical skills or develop imaginative ideas, there’s something here to help you grow.

Working on a special project?

Our fully equipped studio is available for hire for photo shoots, creative sessions, and group events. Just get in touch. We’d love to help bring your vision to life.

Film Tots Classes

Film Tots is a weekly session for pre-school toddlers (aged 3-5 years) and caregivers to come together and gain film-making skills and understanding, whilst facilitating experiences in which they can bond and create lifelong memories.

Pre-school children

Applebox Film Club

Fun filled film making classes, every week for those keen on starting their Hollywood career early. Learn animation, script writing, editing, music and digital effects and work on some exciting outreach projects.
 
8-13 years

Adult All Ability Photography Classes

Covering the best use of digital cameras, stills photography, studio lighting, indoor and outdoor photography & Photoshop. From beginners to those with some knowledge these classes will provide a warm and friendly place to come and enjoy learning about photography

16 years+

LEGO Animation Classes

A brilliant way for kids to learn about creating their own animation work and have a great time amongst fellow like-minded LEGO fans.

8-12 years

Arts for Everyone

Arts for Everyone is our community ticket initiative, offering free theatre, concert, exhibition or event tickets and workshop places in our Arts & You class programme, to people experiencing disadvantage/or who identify as belonging to an underrepresented characteristic group. We want to ensure everyone has the chance to enjoy live performance, connect with culture, and feel part of our shared creative community.

For the purpose of Arts for Everyone under-represented characteristic groups considered are: socio economic disadvantaged, global majority and care experience young people.
