Activities for adults

Our New Tricks events are a varied set of activities aimed at adult library members that happen mainly in some of our town centre libraries.

Spaces are limited at events so booking is essential. Everyone can enjoy a great event and some tea, coffee and biscuits when possible.

Share stories, try on costumes and re-live those dancin’ days, with our Museums colleagues.

Author Visit – Craig Scoular

Tuesday 5 May, 2pm

Craig Scoular’s novel, 49 Things to do with Dad Before He Dies, is a poignant exploration of fatherhood, love, and the responsibilities of a parent.

Skills, Play and Activities for Retired Kindred Spirits

Fridays, 10am – 12pm

A group for older people looking for others to spend time with and enjoy fun, activities and build friendships. Each week will give people the chance to take part in games and puzzles with refreshments on hand too.
