Who Is It For?
The course, run at our Wishaw Library LogintoLearn Centre, can be undertaken by people who are complete beginners or who have already some experience in family history research.
The Coursework
The course requires candidates to build a family tree back to four generations and to indentify sources which begin to build a picture of the life lived by the individuals in the family tree. The course is especially interested in the social and geographic situations of individuals and participants in course will produce a final project on their chosen family. Other assignments will look at local and national organisations that can help provide information in the field of family history.
