Chariots of Steam

22 May – 17 August 2026

An exhibition of spectacular Clyde-built model ships comes to Motherwell. This exceptional collection, ranges from elegant paddle steamers to humble Clyde puffers, and from simple  models to magnificent display models. Together they demonstrate great skill and insight into the history of ship building on the Clyde and the laborious processes that go into such quality model making. 

The Last Foundations: Ravenscraig 30 Years on by Chris Leslie

5 September – 2 November 2026

Marking 30 years since Ravenscraig’s demolition, The Last Foundations is a multimedia project documenting the lasting impact of the steelworks’ closure on the local community, exploring memory, identity, and resilience through film, photography, and personal stories.

North Pole Express

21 November 2026 – 16 January 2027

All aboard for some winter fun, featuring soft play, story corner and quizzes, plus a chance to dress up and drive a big wooden train, or find the polar bears hiding in the exhibition. The North Pole Express is an enchanting exhibition for younger visitors and their carers.
